Quiet comfortable hotel, well situated for coast, close to beach and Norfolk Coastal path. Good breakfasts and bar food with quality local ingredients. Staff very pleasant.
A bit pricey. Breakfast not open until 8 am even weekdays so couldn't make early starts.
We booked last minute I am on crutches the hotel moved us to a better room.
A really comfortable room, crisp clean linen, superb breakfast & convieient secure parking.....really all one could reasonably ask for at a relatively modest price.
No...we have stayed at CH many times over recent years.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. The meals were excellent. Lovely location. Really quiet. Nice to see familiies and the occasional dog. Made for a good atmosphere. The lay out of the rooms in smaller outside blocks was very nicely done.
Just a couple of points about room 14. The bath was blocked, which is inexcusable, and the cupboard where clothes could be stored next to the bathroom, smelt damp and musty. We kept our clothes in our cases. Perhaps the 2 issues were connected, but had we stayed more than 1 night, I would have asked for a change of room. Needs sorting please. Other occupants may not be as content as we were to put up with it.
I stayed for 1 night on business and was given a room with more than enough space, really comfortable and excellent facilities
Our room was very comfortable and the hotel was really quiet overnight. the buffet breakfast was good..For the price we paid it was very good value for money and we will certainly use it again for a nice break.
Efficient welcome, helpful staff, nice lay out of rooms, giving feeling of staying in cottages. Good breakfast
Quite a long walk to rooms for disabled person. Could do with a couple nearer the car park
We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Toiletries were provided. Very relaxing bar and lounge. Breakfast and evening meal were very well cooked and of good quality. Nice outdoor areas to sit and have a drink. Good parking. Nice walk from the hotel to the beach and then to Hunstanton.
The dining room was a little warm, especially at breakfast. Our evening meal was beautifully cooked but lacking in vegetables. Would order extra next time.
Nicely decorated. A very comfortable relaxed atmosphere. the fact that it was only a 10 minute walk to the beach was an added bonus. Excellent breakfast.
The bar prices were rather high. the restaurant was nice but lacked ambience in the evening. A candle is always a nice touch. The food was very nice, but when asked for just a plain crab salad without the crayfish we were told this was not possible!? The morning coffee was awful (strong and bitter) so on the 2nd morning I asked if it was possible to have instant but was served a caffetiere again!
It is only a ten minute walk to the best part of Hunstanton beach
Very comfortable room, courteous and helpful staff and good breakfast
Very comfortable and quiet with relaxed atmosphere- near enough to the beach and far enough from the road. Last minute bargain as got a suite at a fantastic price.
Well run hotel and very pleasant staff. Ideal location for exploring west and north Norfolk coast.
Reception area was a bit cramped and whilst not something that I disliked, the layout of the accommodation outbuildings reminded me of a holiday camp. Staircase to room on first floor was immediately behind the door for the room which made it difficult when entering and exiting the room. Not sure why porridge should be charged extra.
Lovely layout around internal courtyards, good restaurant, spacious and comfortable bar/lounge, plenty of car parking, Close to beautiful beach. Rooms tasteful and well-equipped, good quality cosmetics replaced daily, lovely large, fluffy towels! Lots of information about hotel and area. Breakfast: excellent range of cooked dishes, cereals, fruit (inc fresh fruit), jams and juices.
Main prob: WiFi not available in either of our two rooms or courtyard. Standard rooms small. Odd shower arrangement: to get enough pressure, shower had to be scorching hot.
From arrival the hotel had a good feeling about it and the staff did not disappoint also. Our room was first class and the dining room pleasant with excellent food and plenty of polite and attentive staff.
